Becoming a parent brings so much joy and just as many questions, especially around sleep.

I created this free monthly email series to give you clarity and confidence throughout your baby’s first year, so you never feel like you’re guessing your way through each new stage.

Every month, a week before your little one turns a month older, you’ll receive a supportive, easy‑to‑digest email that contains everything you need to know about sleep for the upcoming month, including:

✓ Their awake windows, number of naps, nap durations and max sleep during the day.
✓ Bedtimes, sleep durations, morning wake times for night sleep.
✓ Insight into any upcoming sleep regressions, developmental leaps and milestones.
✓ Tips on how to tailor all the ‘norms’ to your unique baby and family.
✓ What day and night Sleep Routines can look like.
✓ An overview of Sleep Environments that promote safe, deep sleep.
✓ Feeding patterns that create more restful sleep.
✓ What science says is “normal” and what you might want to double check.

I’m not here to tell you what to do or how you or your little one should sleep. I’m here to offer you gentle guidance so you can make an informed choice that feels right for your family and to help you feel less alone through all the ups, downs and constant changes.

My hope is that these emails become a calm, reassuring companion that allow you to enjoy your baby with a little more ease and a little more rest for your whole family too 💜

A Little Bit About Me

I’m Lara — mum to two little boys, dog‑mum to Summer and Zazu, and the heart behind Lara’s Little Dreamers. My husband and I are originally from South Africa, but we’ve built our little family here in the Netherlands, navigating the beautiful (and sometimes challenging) expat life. I learned about baby sleep the hard way, long before any certifications — through exhaustion, trial and error, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with loving your baby deeply while feeling completely drained. That journey is what led me to become a certified Pediatric Sleep Specialist and newborn specialist, and it’s why I’m so passionate about supporting families with a gentle, open‑minded approach.

I truly believe sleep is a foundation for the wellbeing of the whole family, and I know how transformative it feels when things finally click. That’s why I created this free email series — to give parents the knowledge, clarity, and reassurance I wish I had in those early months. My hope is that these monthly guides help you understand your baby’s sleep more easily, feel prepared for what’s coming next, and enjoy your little one with more confidence, calm, and connection 💜

A Little Bit About My Approach

My philosophy when it comes to sleep is based on the belief that your little one’s sleep is only a “problem” if it feels like one for you. As a parent, you get to decide what matters most, what your version of “ideal” looks like, and the pace that feels right for your family. My role is simply to meet you where you are, without judgement, and offer clarity, reassurance, and realistic guidance.

The way I approach sleep is shaped by my Little House of Sleep — a gentle, holistic framework that looks at the whole picture: development, environment, routines, feeding, connection, and the foundations that help sleep unfold more naturally. Within this approach, families can choose between sleep training or sleep shaping, depending on what aligns with their values and comfort. No matter the path, the goal is always the same: to support your little one in learning healthy sleep skills in a way that feels respectful, responsive, and sustainable. And this is exactly why I created my free monthly email series — to help parents understand what’s happening behind the scenes, feel more prepared for each stage, and enjoy their little one with more confidence, calm, and rest 💜

Questions that have come up before

  • You can sign up for babies aged 0 to 12 months. 0 months = a baby less than 4 weeks :)

  • Absolutely! Sign up now with the age “my baby is 4 months” and the date 3 weeks past your due date. You can always update your timing and dates again later by using the Update Profile button in the emails or by simply mailing me.

  • For sure! And it’s very easy - simply use another email address to go through the same form (like another parent’s email, a grandparent’s, etc.).

  • Sleep tends to settle into more of a rhythm after 1 year and you will probably see your little one moving onto more of a ‘day schedule’ with fewer changes. So after 12 months I won’t necessarily reach out with a monthly update, but you can always drop me a message if something comes up.

  • I will help you sort it out asap. Just email me and I’ll take care of it.
